California walnut pasta topper with fennel chilli and garlic crumb

Ingredients

  • 150 grams California walnuts
  • 360 grams Penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp Chilli oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Garlic glove chopped
  • 2 tbsp Dried breadcrumbs
  • 30 grams Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta in plenty of salted boiling water for 9 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, place the California walnuts into a frying pan with the chilli oil and chopped garlic.
  • Season with a little salt and cook on a medium heat for 3-4 minutes, then remove from the heat and place on a chopping board and leave to cool.
  • Scatter the breadcrumbs over the walnuts and grate the cheese over the top.
  • Chop the walnuts and transfer into a container.
  • When the pasta is cooked drain and serve with the Pasta topper.
